About
What this site is, and who runs it.
Buying a house with bitcoin is not difficult in theory. The difficulty has been finding everyone who agrees. A seller open to it. A broker who can structure it. A lawyer who has seen one before. A desk that can settle it. Most of that knowledge sits today in private group chats, in a handful of news articles, and inside a few brokerages that have actually closed a BTC or stablecoin sale.
bitrealtor is the public-facing version of that knowledge. The blog and mailing list teach the industry how a BTC/stables deal actually works. The listings catalog, when it ships, will bring together property owners worldwide who already say yes to bitcoin and stablecoins.
Operated by Balboa Exchange.
bitrealtor is run by the team behind Balboa Exchange, Panama's bitcoin OTC desk and lending house since 2020. The split of work is clean:
- bitrealtor owns global reach: content, mailing list, and (in v2) a worldwide listings catalog. It does not, by itself, execute deals.
- Balboa Exchange owns execution: OTC settlement, stablecoin/fiat rails, bitcoin-backed lending against the purchase, escrow coordination, and the actual brokerage relationship.
When a reader of this site signals real intent — asking how to close, asking for an introduction, asking about settlement or financing — they get handed off to Balboa. bitrealtor's job is volume and trust. Balboa's job is to turn that into closed transactions.
What this site avoids.
No price predictions. No tokenized-real-estate, fractional-NFT, or RWA-rebranded crypto property categories. No future of real estate hype. We are talking about now: real properties, real sellers, real BTC and stablecoin transfers, settled the way a wire is settled.
Get in touch.
The fastest way to hear from us is the mailing list. If you are an owner or partner broker with a property you'd like to list when the catalog opens, tell us. If you have a deal ready to close now, talk to Balboa.
